Art “Clayton” LaFleur

A member of the local music scene for over 20 years as a player and songwriter, and 2024 Eddies nominee for record of the Year for his song “I’ve Come to Realize”, Art has been in bands that include Byrds of Prey, True Grit Outlaws, Rattlesnake, and most recently Grit-N-Whiskey .  He brings a unique combination of lead vocals, vocal harmonies and incendiary guitar work that really sets this band apart!   His writing, playing and performance style draws heavily from his country, southern rock, and pop influences that include The Outlaws, Skynyrd, and Sting to name just a few.  As one half of the Art~n~Shawna duo, he and Shawna Dawn are also nominees for Favorite Duo in the 2026 Listen Up Awards. 

Shawna Dawn “SD”

One of the best kept secrets on the local music scene, our front-woman SD, Shawna Dawn!    Shawna brings a powerful voice that comes directly from her rock roots. Her journey to the stage was unexpected  (was it though??).  Many of you may know her from her years with Grit-N-Whiskey.  After the unexpected passing of her Mom and co-founder of G-N-W, Terry Lee Pechette, Shawna came forward with the difficult task of succeeding Terry Lee.  And boy did she!! Mostly to her own surprise, she has developed into a powerful lead vocalist, sings ridiculously tight harmonies, and plays numerous percussion instruments.  Performing in the Art~n~Shawna Duo and Trio, she really helps to define our sound.  And now, going back to her rock roots in the Art~n~Shawna Band, you’re really going see to how mighty she is!  And, As one half of the Art~n~Shawna duo, she and Art are also nominees for Favorite Duo in the 2026 Listen Up Awards.

John Harmon

Song writer, bassist, keys player, vocalist, dabbler of percussion, and just an hysterical guy!  John has been on the local music scene for over 20 years and has been in numerous projects that have included Bipolar, Byrds of Prey, Probing Digit, and most recently one half of the writing team that is Mask and Witness.  John comes from a very diverse set of influences that include Guns N’ Roses, Metallica and Dream Theater.  Song writers like Billy Joel and Elton John have inspired his writing and his bass influences include Francis “Rocco” Prestia and Victor Wooten.  He brings an energy and wit that is unmatched and is sure to make our performances even more entertaining!

Dave Pechette

A staple on the local music scene for 40 years, our man Dave is a well known and highly respected member of the local music community.  He’s performed in numerous bands over the years that include Saratoga favorite Fire-N-Ice, Tat, Silk Velocity, and finally of course his most recent band Grit-N-Whiskey.  Dave’s searing guitar pulls from hard rock, alternative and southern rock influences. He was the recipient of the NCMA Musician of the Year award in 2017  We are so stoked that he has come aboard the Art~n~Shawna train.

Andy Iorio

Andy is a supremely talented composer that has released three wonderful albums (so far).   He is a three time HMMA Award Nominee, has over 2 million streams across all platforms in 144 countries, and composed the score for “The Perfect Color” in 2013.  In addition to his regular solo piano performances at numerous restaurants and lounges, he has performed on the local scene with Tear, Probing Digit, the duo AS IZ (with Shawna Dawn) and now the Art~n~Shawna Band.  If you’ve been to one of his performances, you know he brings a wit and charm that elevates the room.  And we could not be more excited to have him with us!!

Jeff Prescott

The amazingly talented drummer!  Jeff has been on the local music scene for about 30 years.  One of the absolute best in the business, he has played (and continues to play) with a number of bands in the Capital District.  Bluz House Rockers, Dead Man’s Waltz, Rev Tor Band, Brian Kane and the Beginning and now Art~n~Shawna!  His sense of humor is almost as good as his sense of timing!  The dude is a metronome!  And, he is just an all around good guy!  We’re thrilled he’s part of the Art-n-Shawna fmily!

Jeffrey Dudwoire

The incomparable beast behind the kit!  You know him from Skeeter Creek (where he continues to play), The Diva Project, and if you know you know, Rattlesnake (Chase Crush).  Jeff has been playing drums since he was 15.  His passion for drumming is clear and evident by his live performances. If you’ve seen him live, you already know this. Jeff bleeds passion for his craft and always leaves a little bit of his soul on the drum throne. We are thrilled that Jeff has joined the Art~n~Shawna family! 

In Memoriam – Terry Lee Pechette 

The OG band front woman!! Co-founder and lead singer of Grit-N-Whiskey, Silk Velocity and Saratoga staple Fire-N-Ice, Terry was a powerhouse force on stage that earned her the nickname of Terry Etheridge.  With her strong, confident vocals, rhythmic percussion additions and keys, and powerful stage presence, she was truly in a league of her own.  Always in our hearts and loved by all, sometimes if you really pay attention, you can still feel her fire on stage.  We miss you Terry Lee.
